I’m Gary Smith. I spent 30+ years running operations at FedEx, Home Depot, and XPO — hiring, promoting, and yes, rejecting people at every level. Today I run Transparent Search Group, an executive search firm. Deciding who gets the interview is literally my job.

Resume Annex exists because of a pattern I couldn’t unsee: most candidates I passed on weren’t rejected because of their resume. The company

Resume Annex is independent and founder-run, launched in March 2026. It is the product side of a working recruiting practice — the intelligence in the platform is the same lens applied on live searches at Transparent Search Group every week.
